The winner is the one who makes 4 pieces in a row with the same attribute.

Two players aim to align four pieces on a board. You might think you've seen something with this objective before, but in Quarto, the twist is that your opponent dictates which piece you must play. As if that weren't enough, the aligned pieces must share at least one common characteristic, and there are 8 characteristics you'll have to consider: light, dark, tall, short, round, square, filled, or empty. This grand challenge was created by the Swiss mathematician Blaise Muller, here in the more portable Mini version.
